Offer Comprehensive Care for Victims of Violence

In the Bulgarian capital Sofia, the AAF crisis centre is the only centre of its kind. The centre offers assistance to children and women who are victims of domestic and sexual violence or human trafficking. 91 women and 42 children were supported on average annually through crisis intervention and psychological counselling. The women were also assisted to find economic independence while their children received pedagogical support. AAF is appreciated in the community as a professional service provider. More and more clients are referred to AAF by social services, schools, police and the prosecutor’s office which is pushing the crisis centre to its capacity limits. Sofia Municipality appreciates AAF’svaluable work and therefore signed a new 5-year contract with the organisation.
