Every year, 268 men received professional psychosocial assistance and were able to overcome their violent behaviour. As a result, the project helped to protect women and children from domestic violence. The local community began to gain confidence in the work of the centre, so that experts from public institutions referred men to the centre. It cooperates with the Gender Department of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, the municipalities of Doboj Region, and civil society actors. The men’s Centre is the first service provider of its kind to focus on men in terms of psychosocial counselling and family protection.
