With the Community-based Inclusive Development approach, the project laid the legal foundations for the inclusion of people with disabilities in all parts of society. It moreover addressed individual needs, the appropriate environment, and promoted the inclusion of people with disabilities and their families at the local level. Annually, 284 persons with disabilities accessed comprehensive health services related to Covid-19 symptoms, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, neuropediatric and other health issues. The project also provided assistive devices such as wheelchairs and orthotics, as well as medications. 124 students with a disability demonstrated academic progress as a result of their individual study plan. 75 persons with a disability, who started their own business, managed to sustain it during at least two years.
