Young people of Bosa Occidental are particularly affected by poverty and lack of perspectives. They are easy targets for armed gangs who make big promises. The project aimed to train young people and place them in permanent jobs. 233 young people graduated with a nationally recognised vocational education in areas demanded on the job market such as bookkeeping, administration, childcare, IT, and HR administration. The teachers described their students as extremely motivated. Psychological support was also an important element of the training: Thanks to a life plan, the young people gained more stability in their life and a clear perspective for their future. Their feedback indicated that these activities were beneficial to their personal development. 59 men and 102 women found formal employment with minimum wage and social benefits.
